Meet the Team

With a wealth of arborist experience under his belt – a huge 16 years to be precise – Chris is the founder and big boss at Expertrees. Customers describe Chris as hard-working and completely dedicated. He is undoubtedly your man if you’re losing sleep over a tree-related problem – he simply loves to find solutions… and believe us, he really cares! He enjoys working outside and being part of a brilliant team. In his spare time, he enjoys a spot of fishing and spending time with his son.

Chris, nicknamed Lorris (although he won’t divulge why!) has been with the Expertrees clan for around 5 years. He loves the physical side of tree surgery and takes great pride in his work. He likes customers to be happy and understands the importance of great communication and customer relations. Chris loves being part of the team and is partial to a little Expertrees team bants. At the weekends you’ll find him yearning for a hole-in-one on the golf course or catching a game of footie, especially if his beloved Gunners are playing.

Jack, known affectionately by the team as Jacky Boy or Jacko is a long-standing member of the team and has been with us for 8 years in total. Jack is loyal, reliable and will always be there grafting until the job is done to the highest standard! Jack loves getting continual exercise whilst climbing trees but that’s not enough – you can still find clad in lycra, cycling in his spare time! When he is not being crazily active, Jack likes to chill by playing the guitar or with a decent film or book.

Alex is one of the most sociable members of the Expertrees team and you can always count on him to keep spirits high, even on Monday mornings! Alex was drawn to the profession as he loves to work outside amongst nature and he’s clocked up 4 years as part of the team. At the weekend you can find him bbq-ing with friends or out and about in his hometown of Redhill chatting and socialising.

James, affectionately known as Jim Jam has been a tree surgeon for around 4 years and with Expertrees for 1.5 of those. He’s another great fun member of the gang and is also one of the calmest and chilled out members of the team. ‘Jim Jam’ loves a bit of socialising and also has a spot of the wanderlust bug – he loves to visit and explore new areas in his spare time. James loves being around nature and working outdoors.

Sebastian is relatively new to the profession but loves his time as a tree surgeon so far. Self-admittedly, he likes to get paid for exercise – very much cheaper than a gym membership (!) and, like the rest of the team, loves to work outdoors. When we asked how the team would describe him, he replied ‘Lost without me’ – LOL! At the weekends Sebastian enjoys spending time with his son and watching a bit of horse-racing.

New to the Expertrees gang, but not to tree surgery, Toby, commonly referred to as ‘Big Ginge’ is blessed with both strength and a great head of ginger locks. Big Ginge loves the variety of tasks as a tree surgeon and in his own words, ‘there’s always something different each day to crack on with’. In his spare time you can find Toby down the pub with his mates or engrossed in his latest marvellous lego creation.
